Health and Safety

As a family owned businesses, the Dellta Group of companies are committed to the Highest Standards in Health and Safety

Dellta Contractors and Dellta Academy take the health and safety of our employees very seriously, it is a prime consideration. With this in mind, our commitment is to operate to the highest standards in Health and Safety at all times, with the vision of sustaining our record of no serious injuries.

Dellta Group recognise that health and safety risks are inherent to any construction project it subcontracts to, and as such has implemented a people-focused, company-wide approach to keeping its employees safe and well.

All staff from casuals through to management participate in ongoing practical and course training to continually develop a sound safety culture and practices. This comprises activities as simple as targeted toolbox talks and safety inspections carried out on site on a regular basis through to maintaining a remuneration and promotion scale leveraged strongly off employees attending ongoing external training to continually develop their skills and level of understanding.

Most recently, to foster a positive and interactive approach to regular revision and revisiting of Dellta Contractors health and safety policies, procedures and practices, we have recently implemented a system of complimenting all inductions and other practical training with a regular "Health and Safety quiz" where teams of staff are rewarded for their knowledge and understanding. Check out our facebook page for recent activity.

I have worked with a lot of steel fixing contractors in my time, as a carpenter and safety professional. There has always been a varied scale of maturity in their leadership and approach to safety. While working with Dellta Contractors it quickly becomes apparent that their leadership, engagement of their staff in both safety and quality is at a far higher standard than a lot of their competition. This is reflected clearly in the attitude and workmanship of their onsite team.
