The Tauhara Geothermal Power Station is a project which will massively benefit the country as whole. Expected to be operational by 2023, this renewable energy power station will ultimately come to nullify 450,000 tons of carbon emission from fossil fuel production. Working alongside Naylor Love, Dellta Contractors will be a significant part of this unique and complex project, which not only aspires to change the landscape of energy production in New Zealand, but also makes strides with construction materials from renewable resources.
As pictured, the base material of the cooling tower slab is local sourced volcanic rock.
